BAR/BAT MITZVAH

The Village’s innovative Bat Mitzvah Academy is a spectacular 8 month program for 11 and 12 year old girls to prepare them for their Bat Mitzvah. Eye-opening topics are explored and discussed through drama, arts, and innovative technology in a warm, social, Jewish environment. The Village's Bat Mitzvah Academy aims to empower our girls as proud Jewish women in the 21st century.

At the Bat Mitzvah Academy, Bat Mitzvah girls will gain a deep appreciation and pride for their Jewish identity and heritage. They will become independent Jewish thinkers, with a social and moral guide to help them through their future as Jewish women.

Our show stopping curriculum sees our girls explore our tradition and culture, the Jewish life cycle series, personal growth, relationships, challenges, the role of Jewish women, leadership and community. They will explore topics from self-respect and body image to the Jewish soul and Jewish marriage.

Our girls visit a Kosher restaurant, a synagogue, the Holocaust Museum, a Mikvah - Jewish ritual bath, enjoy a Challah bake with their Moms, celebrate Jewish festivals as a group, cook up a storm at the The Village’s Giving Kitchen, enjoy a spirited Family Shabbat dinner, meet Jewish influencers, and culminate the year with an inspiring and nachat-filled ceremony and celebration.

Our course is hip, authentic and a most meaningful Bat Mitzvah experience. The Village’s Bat Mitzvah Academy is a gift for a lifetime.

Our course will commence in September 2022 and conclude in May 2023. Registration is now live! Please fill out the form below to enroll your child. You will receive a yearly calendar of all classes, trips and events and fee schedule.

“My daughter Elai and I were so blessed to be part of the Bat Mitzvah program. The program was filled with learning about our meaningful Jewish heritage. My daughter was excited before each class with Chana and we felt part of a warm and loving family. Thank you for the amazing path you took us on. We will cherish every moment forever.”
